Job Description:
Accountable to deliver high quality and profitable food services, deliver great customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback through the leadership of the kitchen team team in their service delivery.
Develop the food services to support an increase of customer footfall, revenue and food quality through contributing to the strategic hospitality business plan.
To be responsible for the management of the kitchen team, co-ordination and planning of food services across all dining areas within the village, planning for additional events and the general management of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting, implementing and reviewing high quality food standards for the timely delivery of food service
- Setting food specifications, plating standards, providing IDDSI and special dietary and nutrition requirements.
- Leadership of the kitchen team, ensuring that safe and high quality food production services are delivered in a timely manner, whilst all HACCP and Cleaning standards are met consistently across all kitchens and proactive planning informs menus, food orders and stock control.
- Proactively and positively invite and encourage customer feedback about the food served by engaging with residents personally regularly and using this to inform menu changes.
- Host a food focus group meetings at least annually with residents in assisted living and the care home to gain feedback on the hospitality teams services.
- Advising all staff on the aspects of food preparation and handling, providing constant direction, supervision, training and development to achieve required food standards.
- Attending regular Head of Department meetings to contribute to the service delivery of the whole village and communicate the departments’ requirements.
